Spokane native, Mike Foiles, brings a winning tennis career and tough training attitude to the RTC. Growing up as a multi-sport junior, Mike understands what it takes to be a top-level athlete in a dedicated sport. Having only started playing tennis at the age of 15, his intense dedication to training helped him earn a spot on the University of Idaho men's tennis team before moving to Seattle to train and play competitively. After working at Pac West Tacoma, Mike attended and played tennis for Skagit Valley CC where he ended up as the NWACC conference champion in both singles and doubles.

After college, Mike trained and taught under northwest legend Scott Shogreen and his well-known system for producing quality players.

“There's a lot of merit in taking your training seriously and the Racquet Training Center provides the perfect opportunity for juniors of all ages and levels to learn tennis the right way. While the discipline can be tough, I really want to show kids how much fun tennis can be when it's played the right way and how to enjoy the fruits of hard work.”

In addition to tennis, Mike trained extremely hard to become an expert skier and qualified as a Junior Olympic ski racer at a young age. His experience as a former ski patroller and instructor has translated well on the tennis courts demonstrating a great attitude of caring and concern for his students and their tennis game.
