The Racquet Training Center at Sand Point is proud to welcome Mitch Perkins to its staff. Formerly ranked #218 in the world on the ATP Tour, Mitch brings one of the most impressive playing and teaching resumes to our staff. As a junior player in the Seattle area, Mitch was ranked number 2 in the United States for 14 & Under Boy's and number 1 in Canada when playing 18 & Under Divisions. Mitch won 4 national junior titles and went on to play internationally reaching the Junior Quarterfinals of Wimbledon as a singles player and was a Junior Finalist at the Italian Open for Boys Doubles. Mitch was also a Davis Cup Member for Canada on both the Juniors and Men's teams.
Having retired from the pro tour after phenomenal wins over the likes of John Lloyd, Pat Dupre', and Jose Higueras, Mitch turned to teaching adults, kids and nationally ranked juniors for twenty years. After taking some time away from the game, he returns to complete his fifth different #1 ranking after recently securing the top spot in the PNW Men's 45 Division. His resurgence back into tennis will benefit players at the RTC tremendously with his experience and history as a top competitor.
