You will always hear Jake Moe say, “Tennis is my passion!” and it's so true because he has been involved with the sport for nearly his entire life. As a former executive for the USTA, Jake helped grow the game on a local and national level during the 1980's instituting major outreach programs that have had a significant impact on player development. As former Chairman of Marketing for the USTA, Jake has networked extensively in the tennis industry. In 1987, Jake created and produced the Seattle Tennis Festival where, for three years running, over 500 people came to experience tennis through free instruction and game play coordinated with dozens of local instructors and coaches.
Jake has been coaching tennis for the past 30 years and has taught all over the Northwest. He was the Varsity Tennis Coach for Roosevelt High School for 15 straight years and was named KINGCO Coach of the Year. During his high school coaching tenure, he was also named most Inspirational Coach several times and was well-known for his ability to motivate and instill confidence in his players. Jake has also worked with local tennis celebrity and former tennis professional Tom Gorman by coaching at the famous Allen Conference at the Sun Valley Idaho Tennis Club as well as with the Nike Summer Tennis Camps along with tennis director Mark Frisby.
Jake has coached for years during the summers using his own unique video analysis system that has helped players see themselves in a completely new perspective. Developed in 1992, this unique video system will be coming to the Racquet Training Center at Sand Point as Jake adds yet another fantastic piece to the RTC team.
