Tier 8 = Elementary Group - Advanced Beginner
- Ages 8 - 10
- Generally 3rd - 5th grade students
- Players that have had less than two years of experience or lessons
- Starting to play competitively at USTA Tournaments: Rookie level
- Those preparing for the new 10 & Under format of play
- Focus on stroke development, service motion, net play
- Continuing to improve on footwork and movement on court
- Consistency of 5+ balls or more using orange low-compression balls on a 60' court
